Conan’s show rocked. I watched Fallon for the first time last night after Conan and was truly disappointed. His monologue was really shaky. He stumbled over every bit. Only the “slow jam” on Cali was deserving of my attention.
Conan came from Harvard, so he probably knows who Lovecraft is, but the difference is that Craig books guests who actually know and have read Lovecraft. Conan doesn’t.
craig rocks im reading his book at the montent between the bridge and the river its great i watch his show every night if i miss it i watch it on youtube. but the other late night guys bore me its like its on repeat on very night. the only reason i would watch the other guys is if i like the guess but with craig its great each night. craig rules!!!!
Craig Ferguson is THE MAN! Two of my favorite interviews were with; Jennifer Tilly on 4/1/09, I watch it on You Tube every time I need a good laugh. The other was the latest interview with Simon Cowell, actually I think Simon enjoyed the mental challenge of being interviewed by Craig. They are both friggin hilarious!!!
… and I didn’t even know who Jennifer Tilly was, and I don’t watch American Idol, but Craig and his guests had me rolling on the floor LMFAO!
As for Jimmy Fallon, no offense, but get him some Ritalin, QUICK!
Ferguson the high school dropout is easily the most intelligent late night host out there. He also happens to be the most consistently funny one of the whole group.
But what really impresses me is his cold opening. There isn’t another late night host out there that would dare to start cold or do so much with just a few minutes.
(And fake kudos to the guy who came up with the new comments section. Judging my all the multiple postings, you clearly didn’t bother testing it first. Way to go.)
I just watched Jimmy Fallon hosting Steve Martin and Paul Simon – one of the most painfully awkward interviews/exchanges of all time. Talk about “one of these things is not like the other”: two great talents, one boy hack. Clearly it’s just Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, and the NBC cabal calling in favors to get their toolish boy-wonder tool some early ratings in the new era of late-night. All of which is to say that I’ll be clicking over to Ferguson the second Conan is over.
Craig Ferguson is the best! I watch him every single night AND tape his show as well so I can watch it again the next day. Craig IS COMEDY. To you, Conan, Fallon, Kimmel, in the words of MC Hammer, “Can’t touch this!”(Ferguson)… none of you come close to his comedic energy or his interviewing skills. Craig rules!!!

I watched Ferguson for a while, and enjoyed it to a point, but after a few weeks, you get tired of the endless repetition. He says or does something funny, then keeps referring to or repeating it and it gets funnier for a few repetitions, then starts to get annoying. I find Jimmy Kimmel much more inventive and hilarious–and it’s something new just about every night. I still enjoy Craig Ferguson when Kimmel is a rerun, and they’re both miles ahead of Jimmy Fallon (though it’s still early days for him).
Craig’s the man. Fallon is a hack playing to a dopey teen audience.
Whoa, it looks like the Ferguson family is posting here! Nice try guys, but I’m sticking to Jimmy, he’s awesome.
Craig’s wit is unbeatable. I watched him with Chris Kattan last night and his quick exchanges at even non-opportune times makes him so enjoyable to watch. Honest, right, there’s something so honest about him, so unafraid of NOT being funny because he IS always funny. So self-assured. He has the wit of Letterman on a good nite, but more mature and amicable then David ever was during David’s glory days. Puts his guests at ease and they seem to enjoy talking to him.
We had quit watching most late night tv…& one night we discovered CRAIG! Oh my gosh…Does David Letterman/CBS realize the treasure they have in this man?!
We laugh until it hurts. “we” are 59 and 19 years old so CBS quit telling Craig to act differently to attract the younger kids, he already does! He has that rare combination of intelligence, the ability to be child-like & adult with the most quick witted humor I have seen. He brings out the best in a all his guests. He is indeed a genius.
Although we don’t usually enjoy bad language and insinuations, which Craig occasionally uses, he gets by with it because he acts like a “naughty” little boy.
I do wish he was on earlier but we rarely miss.
Being from Albuquerque we especially enjoy all the Snake Mug and the Albuquerque Snake Museum plugs. (So does the Snake museum…They love him too!) . We called to order Snake Mugs but sold out & waiting list. They can’t keep up to demand due to popularity of Craig’s unique “side kick”
Craig is the best, and i saw his stand up in Boston and he’s even funnier when he gets to swear
