I love this show and Kate is doing what she should – take care of her kids.It is sad and I wish them well.
Don’t hand us the “horrible article” and how dare they! crapola. Fact is, the show is now a trainwreck, and if they were so interested in “working it out themselves” they wouldn’t have just signed on for 40 more episodes of exploitation. I have no pity for either of these self-promotional vipers, just their kids, who never asked to be on TV, and no doubt never have been asked at any point to watch Mom and Dad’s marriage circle the toilet.
As for “shutting up”, we’ll shut up when they stop destroying their marriage on national TV and when they stop the merciless exploitation of their children. They can’t be loved when they’re being ordered to smile for the cameras.
I have been a watcher since day one. Me and my husband are turned a lot like them, I have been so enraged though because when they showed tonights show I could only think about Jon being gone and how his “girlfriend” brother told she had went to Utah to meet up with him. He knew having kids was going to bring responsibility so why did he sign up to have kids if he wants to be alone. It’s just a shame because they have always responded to life in such a godly manner and to us it is just very disappointing because god can get you through anything if you get on your knees and ask for his help.

Two parents burned out by working too much and having too many children. Now, that’s reality, but unfortunately, it’s just a little too real. Yuck, I can fight with my wife anytime I want. Why would I want to watch that on TV.
I think Kate has become a real diva. You can tell that she loves the free stuff and cool vacations they get to go on. I think Jon doesn’t like the new Kate and went to another woman that is not so much a diva. Yes Kate takes care of the kids, but her whole style has changed to a “diva style” constantly going to get her hair and nails done. And I just think that Jon is the type of person that wants a calm life that he’s respected in. Kate does yell at him a lot. So I think Kate’s to blame in this situation but I would love to see them work this whole thing out!
I love the show.
I like the Kate Eight and I hope they carry on as long as they are still having fun with it. I am happy for all their perks and paid-for adventures! Good for them!

Tony: They chose to be on TV. If they wanted out, they could get out, regardless of contracts. But this is their income and we have all been their, you have to make sacrifices to benefit life in the long term. They have to put 8 kids through college and by the time the six are going to collage, it will be very expensive!! They seem to be working out the problems as best as they can, you must realize they are hard problems! And as for the kids, they have grown up with the cameras, it is second nature to them and as seen today with one of the boys playing with the crew, they enjoy the staff. It is not exploitation if the kids are OK with it, which they are. They may not yet realize how popular they are, but they are loved. They love their parents and the parents return that love as much as they can, which is a lot.
I think the two shows were fine. Guess what folks…that is real life. As far as your article it is trying to read between the lines, and poorly written. One of the kids talking the camera-man …duh..the kids know this crew why wouldn’t they talk to them???
Thank you Michelle, the kids are still being kids. They are not working, this is not child labor. They enjoy the attention.
Jon and Kate are fabulous parents and are just working things out in their relationship – As we should be continually doing. I think they are raising great, funny and smart kids that are quite well-rounded. Every family goes through their issues and right now they may have more on their plate then before. I disagree with the earlier comment that they are being less “godly” now. – Who are we to judge? The whole beauty of the show is that it is relatively unscripted and shows us real life – It’s not all going to be roses in any family. -They are doing their best to raise 8 kids lets give them a bit of a break.
First, I can’t believe I’m posting a comment. But, I’m struck at how men and women respond differently to this drama. Women side with Kate as the innocent wife who only does this for the kids (yeah right) and the men side with John because they see a side of Kate that would drive most men away. This proves that we men don’t get it when it come to women, and they don’t get it when it comes to men. This equals going your separate way. I personally watch the show to see the kids. I was rolling on the floor at the “poop” question. I never was into John or Kate’s little sideshow, and I still couldn’t care less. I just feel bad for what they are in for.
