I don’t know about you guys, but people today are too resistant to cliche popular media. If this show was aired a few years ago no one would be complaining. They managed to pick a bunch of different personalities, and it’s cool to see how everyone stepped up to their roles. Lou Diamond Philips is like the father, he seems way more mature and responsible than the rest. What I’m not sure about was how America didn’t vote Janice Dickinson off of the show, you could see she was shocked when it was announced she was safe. Maybe the producers wanted her to stay for the drama aspect of the show. Also the love interest between Sanjaya and Holly makes the show slightly more appealing. Overall, the show has been quiet cliche, but I have grown to love all the characters that are on it.
I’ve been thinking for a while that this show was not “live” but last night proved it. Janice ranting about voting “NO” on Prop 8? How long ago was that anyway? And if it’s not live, that means the producers, not America, are voting people off. What a sham.
And if the producers are choosing who leaves, what else are they controlling? Like, everything. Janice? Heidi and Spencer? The men having a bigger and harder log? If it’s all scripted, it’s not interesting anymore.
Lou Diamond Phillips acts like a mature, real grownup. Sanjaya thinks of him as a father figure. Well, there’s hope for those 2 men in the real world…although a romance with Sanjaya and Holly? Oh sure. Janice Dickinson? I’m not sure if she’s completely nuts or if she’s a shrewd marketer of her own loopy image, or a bit of both? Overall the series is something you can keep on the background while doing dishes, feeding those who need to be fed, taking out the trash etc.etc. It’s harmless entertainment and will be over very quickly so we can get on to serious summer stuff.
Janice is the most disgusting human being i have ever seen. Shes extremely annoying, dirty and her face looks like a freak show. Her alone is reason enough to stop watching the show.
I’m sorry but the setting looks fake to me. I don’t think they’re really in the jungle.
I auditioned to be a standin on “I’m a celebrity get me out of here” and was actually casted and lived with 10 other people in the exact same camp met Damien and Myleene as well as Tamsin the Executive Producer. We did most of the challenges and I believe after seeing the “real celebs” that our filming was far more entertaining. We left the set on the May 28th just days before the current cast arrived. These “celebs” are boring unimaginative and lack charisma. I actually won a competition that made me leader of the camp which put me in a position forced to interact with everybody and it was definitely a psychological roller coaster that anybody watching would enjoy and want to jump back in line to ride again. I am still in Costa Rica now, have photos from the set and with Damien and Myleene, and know the basic set up of the show. I sure hope NBC airs our show it’s much more entertaining!
I can tell you that definitely they are in the jungle it is very real and they were relocating pit vipers out of the camp area days before my standin group arrived to film the show.

I wasn’t able to vote because I am in Canada i enjoyed watching the show but, In my opinion Janice was smart in a way because she used her strategies to stay on as long as she did, using her young bo to slave for her. Someone should’ve really put her in her place thoughf or doing what she did, peeing in camp!
