Hollie Steel is a Ten year old girl who stood on that stage and gave a fine performance and melted my heart, she is one day going to be incredible singer and the future looks bright for her.
I believe she did not throw a tantrum if she did so what, she is ten years old and all children at that age throw them, well done Hollie, you’re a star in the making. Keep going and I am sure you will be guided on the path to great success, your parents must be very proud of you.
Stavros Flatley were…. crap, yet somehow strangely entertaining. Hollie Steel and her pushy mother were annoying, and I’m getting tired of singers singing classical pieces, I just find it boring.
To be honest the only act I would actually pay money to go and watch live would be Diversity.
Hollie Steele was horrendous? Oh give me a break The girl was simply amazing. I make a living teaching people to sing, and I can see she has picked up some very bad habits, but she was in tune and she copes very well with the big notes. Not many 10 year olds can do that. I dont think she had a tantrum – she broke down – there is a world of difference. Giving her a second chance was the right thing to do. Performers at her age are very fragile, not giving her a second chance would have destroyed her in my opinion. Should she have even been there in the first place? Probably not.

Susan you are a star.The Brit’s have it all wrong.Now you can pick your agent and go very far.We love in America.They got it so wrong but then again ,i know you know this.I truly hope one day you get to sing for the Queen.You so deserve it.You have inspired million’s and i thank-you so very much.
Well, it was our show and we could vote whichever way we wanted, and we did. Let’s be honest, Susan’s audition was her best performance, she messed up the start of her semi final (although she recovered beautifully) and she didn’t sound right in the final although, again, it was still good. Maybe the publicity counted against her somewhat, but maybe it was just that Diversity performed best on the night.
It’s being reported today that Susan has gone into a clinic to be assessed under the mental health act, so everyone who viewed her youtube audition has to take some responsibility for that, as well as her family, who let her stay in the spotlight
Susan didnt sound right in the semi as she had a cold. If you listen to Shaheen’s semi performance you could hear he had one too. This is all so new to Susan Boyle – she hasnt got a clue how to handle the press, and lets be honest, the tabloid press in this country are animals. They set out to deliberately wind up her up and they succeeded. Why were they even allowed in the hotel?
