Here in the UK Susan Boyle had become a bit odd and her voice really wasn’t that good. She became famous because she was better than she looked like she would be. In the end though, once the novelty had worn off, she just wasn’t that good. Diversity represents a great cross section of the UK so it’s fitting that they won. They worked harder than anyone else on the show to get there. Good result.
Susan deserved to lose. Diversity was much more talented and fun to watch. If Susan had won, she would have gone off the deep end. So it’s a win-win.
By the way, I’m an American in Britain for two months, and I voted for Stavros Flatley 8 times and Julian Smith once. But I’m happy with the outcome.
JackJack, at times it felt like there were about three thousand such dance crews on BGT this year! Diversity was probably the best of them.
I just viewed the winning acts performance and all I have to say is “IF that’s what won over Susan Boyle what is the voting Britain public on crack.” I mean I don’t want to be ugly but I did not find that realy all that amazing at all.
Apparently ‘optimistic’ has never heard of Cirque de Soleil, Blue Man Group, etc…
Susan! I was shocked to hear you didn’t win! To me Diversity was not so great. But it’s OK… you’ve already won our hearts. I’ll be here waiting for your first US tour!
Diversity is VERY talented. . .but seriously, here in America, dancers like that are pretty common. They had some really fresh tricks and there accuracy was impressive. . .I still think Susan should have won. As for the little girl, she has a great voice, but it is too high for my taste. the young boy was very good too. I hope susan goes far! I really want her cd!
Sadly, I am very disappointed and a bit let down after all the hype.
You americans know nothing. Susan boyle wasnt even the best singer on the show. She isnt even that good. Just because ur talent is sooo bad.
Susan Boyle has talent and Diversity has creativeness and fun and yes, also they’re very cute boys. But I think once the novelty of Susan’s appearance wore felt, it was music heard a hundred times before while Diversity brought some originality. But no doubt Susan Boyle has a great future ahead of her and will one day sing for the queen.
oops. . .dumb American. . .I meant “their” not “there.” LOL
Sadly, it’s “Britain’s Got Talent” not “Britain Singing Idol.” While they may have been the best non-singing act.. Susan Boyle was indeed the best singing act. It’s only a competition, but one that put Boyle in a great position to share her gift with the world and live out her dream.. which will undoubtedly come true after this. YOU GO GIRL!
THANK GOD she didn’t win! She plays a very good game but the true more deserving talent won! Diversity are amazing! All singers have to do is learn a song and sing, dancers put together their routine and diversity are so creative! true winners!
susan boyle was no where near as good as diversity ..she was amazing ..yes but singing is standard ..not much effort diversity put all their hard work into that .amazing!

I just watched both performances with no allegiance to either act. There was absolutely no comparison–Susan created magic.
I don’t go for show tunes, I’m into dance. Susan is way way out of their league.
Oh well, it was just a contrived competition. I’m happy the pressure is off and she can live her life and move onto a real singing career.
Let me tell you it was fixed. I tried several times and got the response that I had “misdialed and that this wansn’t the correct number for Britian’s Got Talent” a very strange message indeed. One or twice the number was engaged. Hence, I like many millions of her fans were unable to vote for her. We need an inquiry. Diversity are nothing special and certainly not deserving of victory.
