Regardless of what anyone thinks about Kate or Jon, people need to realize that they are human beings going through an extremely hard time. Yes, Kate wanted to continue with the show, but for anyone who has children, I’m sure they can relate to the feeling of wanting to provide everything they can for them – and the show definitely does that. If you pay attention to all the seasons, both of them are constantly saying how the show has opened up so many opportunities FOR THE KIDS. What do Jon and Kate get besides some recognition and a whole lot of problems? The kids benefit – free trips and educational opportunities, etc. Kate may be high-strung, but some people are and that’s just how it is. She said it herself – she’s very hard on Jon. But if Jon did cheat, that was of his own accord. And if she cheated, same thing. They are a family who is trying to piece together their lives for better or for worse. I doubt any woman here would like the finger pointed on them like Kate has on her.
First off, I still love this show and always will. I really don’t think anyone has the right to say their on Jon’s side, or their on Kate’s side. Obviously, were aware of something but we aren’t aware of the whole story. Whatever happens, happens.
When Tony made a comment above “For Jon: one can understand why he cheated.” In any situation, this does not give anyone the right to cheat.
Give me a break. So what. They have a bunch of kids. Why is that fame-worthy? Wish they’d all disappear.
wait! Did most of you not read the web site/blog from sister in law Jody? She predicted this mess! Begged them to stop filming because of what it was doing to the family. Jody is no longer on the show. Where is Beth? Rewatch the end of the “last season show’ where Jon said he wasn’t sure he wanted another season, and Kate went right on to say she has lots of ideas for the new season. Going skiing, getting remarried in Hawaii is stressful. Getting pictures taken for magazines, is stressful. It’s not about three times the divorce rate for multiples that gets you divorced, but doing a TV show that is your work and your life as Jon put it. sister in law Jody predicted it. Especially with a woman like Kate who has men issues and control issues and watching her cry like a baby on that airplane made me ill. She uses language that is suspect however, loves to make Jon look like an idiot telling him to breathe right. They are both children, but I blame kate for not pulling the plug on the show
Kate’s constant need and desire for attention has always annoyed me to no end, but this season it seems like she’s going to take it to a whole new level. Doing the whole party alone? Give me a break! No one needs to take 8 kids to Party City. When they got to the park she just stood around and told everyone what to do. And all the playing around with the camera. Stop it already!! Jon is Jon. Tired, lazy, aloof, but at least he’s not trying to get America to hate Kate. Maybe that’s because most people already do hate her.
I also think they should stop doing the show and get into some family and marriage counseling. What’s happening to them is painful to watch.
I agree with whoever said Jon seems clinically depressed. I hope he’s getting the help he needs.
I suppose that this serves as another example/lesson to people who decide to whore out their marriage/family/private life for money, fame, and free stuff. Moral of the story: be careful what you wish for, you may get it all and more.
I am heartsick after watching tonight’s episode. We need to pray for Jon and Kate and stop criticizing them. They both need to repent and ask God’s forgivness for the way they have both acted. We also need to know that these shows are edited by TLC and they show us only the things that sensationalize their lives. Yes, they are having bad marriage problems at the moment, but who hasn’t been there…..they each need to step up to the plate and forgive each other and ask God to heal their marriage, not only for themselves, but for their beautiful children. Stop being so selfish and blaming each other and take the necessary steps to save their marriage. Everyone loves this show and their family and what a testimony to their Christian Faith for them to show everyone that what seems impossible with man is possible with God.
I agree with Marie’s comment below me. Marriage is tough and Jon and Kate are two people just like any of us are and I definitely think that no woman would enjoy being blamed for her husband cheating on her, no matter how bitchy they can be. And who cares if she said alone over and over. She is alone, clearly. Jon’s gone. People are against her. She’s not Hitler, people. She’s not the antichrist. She’s a normal woman. And he’s a normal man. Both of them should be blamed equally or neither of them should be. That’s just fair.
The family needs to forget about the show if there are problems occurring. They kinda got screwed since their contract with TLC most likely made them continue with it. Until they make a decision about their marriage, the season should be postponed..Too bad TLC won’t let that happen

They both need to suck it up. He’s a wimp for “taking” it from her for too long and being so lazy and passive. He “quit” his job – sorry, when you have 8 kids, that is your job. So you really just had a “job change”. And for her, did she really think treating the father of her children like a dog was good for the kids? Get over yourselves. If you divorce you will change the course of your children’s lives forever. If you can’t work it out, that’s your business, but quit the self serving whining and take care of those kids. Otherwise we’ll have 8 more dysfunctional people in the world!
If you ask me I think they need to take some time just the two of them. Coming from a broke home myself parents should do what ever they can to fix the problem. Mom and dad have to be happy to keep the children happy. Their family is in my prayers. Everyone needs to remember that they are just regular people and need to be left alone sometimes. All famous people need time to be without cameras in their faces. Give them a break all the stories are doing is ending a beautiful family.

After watching the past 3 seasons of “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ or rather “Kate” I can say that I took pleasure out of seeing Kate break down emotionally tonight. As heartless as it sounds, she definetly had it coming to her and even her so-called apologies were followed by blame and accusations. She has done nothing but make her entire family’s life miserable (yes that would include her husband, children, and even puppies)! I have grown very tired of watching her oompa lumpa complexion and frayed hair – not to mention her continuous nagging and complaining.
Touche to Jon for realizing that they needed to take their lives out of the spotlight during the end of the last season. I wouldn’t necessarily say that they both “signed-up” for the show – if you watch the the first season it becomes pretty apparent early on that Kate signed them up for the show and the rest of the family compromised.
