I find it very interesting, Carolyn, that you only mentioned Whoopi. Barbara was very much a culprit in today’s attack as well.
The liberal loons on this show refuse to listen to reason and refuse to respect other views. How the one conservative woman goes there day after day a listens to the other 4, I haven’t a clue. The big 4 are truly pigs. Loud, obnoxious, well-fed pigs.
I did see the whole ugly mess. Abuse like this in a family could get you arrested. I think the best comeback was from the new lady. she said to Glen, after Barbara used her typical interview technique, to elecit tears, “Now this is the time you are supposed to cry.”
I love the Glen Beck show he is funny and entertaining. I will continue to watch him over the View any day. The View is boring. Thanks!!!!
Once again, we are struck with two distinct Views (pun intended) from the Liberal Left — that of the error being characterized as a lie, and the hypocritical ad hominem attack.
Glenn apologized for his *error* in the order of who approached whom. But it was repeatedly stated by Whoopi as a *lie*. Just like how every member of Congress, the entire Security Council, the combined intelligence departments of the world, and Hussein’s own generals thought he had weapons of mass destruction were *mistaken*…but Bush *lied*. Exactly like that. The conservative lies, but the liberals make mistakes.
Also note how when Glenn attempted to respond to the question about “checking his facts”, by pointing out that he had WITNESSES to the statements that the seats were “reserved”, something that Amtrak does NOT do, he was repeatedly interrupted with yet another request to explain how he could justify being a reporter and not fact checking.
Interesting Views, indeed.
So everyone thought there were WMDs. The people who were responsible for finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before the war were Hans Blix, the guy who led the investigation team in Iraq for the U.N. and Scott Ritter, the former U.S. Marine Corp intelligence officer. They both said there were no WMDs in Iraq. The U.N. investigators left Iraq when Bush warned them to get out because he was going to start the war, not, as Bush later lied, leaving because Hussein kicked them out. Do some research and read news accounts from before the war – Hussein didn’t kick them out, it was Bush who made up that lie a year later.
Also “every member of Congress” wasn’t duped by Bush’s lies like you obviously were. 23 Senators voted not to give Bush the authority to invade Iraq including Boxer, Leahy, Kennedy and even Republican Lincoln Chafee. Leahy at the time said “(w)e have heard a lot of bellicose rhetoric, but what are the facts? I am not asking for 100 percent proof, but the administration is asking Congress to make a decision to go to war based on conflicting statements, angry assertions, and assumption based on speculation. This is not the way a great nation goes to war.” Speculation and fabrication is the method Glenn Beck uses to support his positions. Lincoln said “you can fool some of the people all of the time”. Beck depends on it.
Also, where did you come up with the ‘fact’ that Hussein’s own generals thought he had weapons of mass destruction? Ahmad Chalabi and ‘Curveball’ were the supposed inside sources used by the Bush administration for information. It was well known in Europe that their credibility was zero yet because it supported the war Bush used that false intelligence. It seems you do as much fact checking as Glenn Beck does – none.
Try using Google once in a while to check things for yourself rather than taking the word of people like Beck as gospel truth.
You can make this about politics or how you feel about the individuals involved, but many of the posts I’ve seen have broken any and all records regarding lack of decorum.
Forgive me, I may be just as dumb as Beck, but I still don’t quite get why those ladies were so upset. Were they offended because Beck accused the train attendants of catering their needs ahead of his? Or is this about who greeted who first?
Either way, sexism is wrong. Mostly because I feel like watching the Stepford Wives right now. If you didn’t note my sarcasm, you probably didn’t note Beck’s either. I’m not an expert on human behaviour, but I’m guessing if someone is laughing, he’s probably at least only half-serious. Have these women never been parodied on SNL?
So what’s the solution to such “offensive” behaviour? Accuse Beck of something HE’S never done, masquerading as a journalist. If a woman said no on a date as many times as he’s said he’s not a journalist, I think you’d call that rape.
I tuned in to watch Beck’s reaction about his trouncing on “The View”. The guy is such a p****y that he called in SICK with a COLD to his own show after just being on “The View” this morning.
Just another reason why I choose not to watch The View since Meredith Viera left. It’s interesting to watch the Big Bullies not let Glen get a word in edgewise while they kept interrogating him and calling him a liar, who cares who said Hi first, and frankly I would have been irritated too if people were saving seats on the train. I enjoy listening to Glen Beck and agree with his views, I only wish we could have heard more of him and less of the hard court press we had to sit and endure.
You all are leaving out the important fact that Beck imitated Barbara Waters voice… as she “summoned” him over to her.
That was a lie… and an insult to Waters.
Two comedians,an actress,a reality TV star and old journalist whose only talent is asking the personal questions. I just can’t take them seriously.
I always watch “The View” and today they hammered Glenn Beck – Barbara basically calling him a “cry baby”, Putting down any man who cries Barbara? I didn’t care for the whole scene. When interviewing a “guest” treat that person with some respect and keep your personal feelings to yourself girls! There are times each woman talks over the other and that is when I don’t think they listen to another’s point of view.
Wow. I watched the video. Whoopie and Barbara were furious at being called out for the special treatment they received on Amtrak (notice they didn’t protest that very much) and their payback was to take the little “characterization” of Barbara (for which he immediately and nobly apologized) and ambush him with it. Hammered him so that he couldn’t focus on the more telling part of it.
The crying bit, where Beck legitimately said he was made fun of? Barbara scolds him although it was started by Joy when when she needled him about nose hairs.
His honest reaction to Barbara’s svengali gaze was hilarious.
It was like being in the middle of a bunch of nasty sisters in a dysfunctional family. Glad I have a brother!
These woman are being petty as usual. I can’t believe they wasted the segment on something so trivial. So Beck did a little bloviating, the fact that Beck is anti-Obama I’m sure didn’t factor into their attack…yea, not much I’m sure. I’m a woman and this show is irrelevant.
Barbara Walters was clearly grandstanding as she went on and on about Glenn this AM. What a waste of my time as I was looking forward to the interview on GLENN’S VIEWS (which were barely touched). Did you notice Barbara put her hand over Elizabeth’s mouth to silence her? We all remember how much talk that generated when it was done to Kelly Ripa. But Bully Barbara will get away with that!
It is too bad that Barbra and Whoopie can lead people into thinking what they want with the play on words. SAD!! Glenn saw them coming into the train and I am sure it was just like he said it was on his show. In his mind plus in his space. I can see it now the two of them on there high horse just like they treated him on there show. I did watch the view at one time NOT ANY MORE!!! Good job Glenn you were nice in spite of them. There coming into the train toward you and then made it a big attack of you approaching them. You see the words here. The people of the View should try to be a little nicer to people. I really do not think they can. Just look at Joy! What a sour looking person she is.
Well take care Glenn you did good.
