Live in Canada, won’t let me watch video. HATE when they do this!!!

I saw the finale last night and I have to say that I can’t get enough of this show and can not wait for Season 2.

Really bothered by the last scene. Possibly because I live in NY. Probably because I worked there and lost friends in those buildings. Can’t use sell your show without exploiting those of us who’ve lived through that crap???

MilkerMan – I feel your pain.

I’m in Mississauga, Ont. and it works fine.

Ken, could you please post a brief recap of the interview for those who can’t view the video. Thank you.

I believe the alternate world takes place between 1996 and 2001 as Obama didn’t turn 35 (required age to be president) until 1996. That would make Len Bias in his mid 30’s and JFK in his late 70’s early 80’s both feasible for what the newspaper says they were doing.

I’m in Toronto, Ontario and it won’t let me watch :(

Oh, please whatwhatwhat. I live here too, and the ending was creepy/exhilarating, not exploitive. Okay, I’ll say it: Move the funk on.

I have a giant TV, and I was able to clearly see the date on the newspaper – Tuesday, May 12, 2009.

Loved the show and the final scene.

We certainly had surprises last night; I found it to be terrific storytelling. I used to live in New York City and seeing the Towers the way they used to be before 9/11 was extremely moving to me. Looking forward to Season 2.

The use of the Twin Towers was not exploitative. It illustrated that the world she was in was obviously different from the one she came from in a way that impacted the audience. It’s interesting how the image of the Twin Towers has become a kind of taboo – something that it is thought should never be used in anything other than highly earnest news programmes and true life dramas. Even I had a moment when I wondered if it was okay that they used it. However, it is not a bad thing when dramas that apparently exist as entertainment shock us back to the real world and make us think of things that make us feel uncomfortable or disturbed. Drama is supposed to have an emotional impact on their audiences, and watching it should not be a purely passive experience that allows us to switch off our brains for an hour. In other words – yes, it felt odd to see Olivia standing in the Twin Towers at the end. That was the point. Deal with it.

Loved the episode, even if the clues that Peter was taken from an alternate universe were pretty obvious from the get-go.
My question is when Olivia was seeing glimpses of an alternate universe in an earlier episode, was that the one William Bell is in, because Olivia saw mass destruction in her vision?

Live in NYC, worked in WTC. LOVED seeing those two beauties in their glory once again. Thank you Fringe! Also, loved the episode and the show!
