the show is just a way for the (scum bag)writer to spew out his hatred for the human race.
Nah.. I think he’s pretty dead on with this one.
And this coming from an old fan of his works, back when he was working on stuff like Johnny Bravo and Cow & Chicken.
Seth’s stuff stopped being funny a while ago… Now it feels like he’s just trying too hard, and in the end he’s relying on the “Oh yeah? Well I’m Seth MacFarlane, the guy who created Family Guy, so THERE.” and using it as a given that he’s a “comedic genius”, which he’s not. ( At least not anymore. )
Honestly, watching his stuff now is just painful.
I really wish the guy would just roll over already.
I think they were absolutely right with calling this SMART comedy, because apparently no one really got it. The intention was not so simple as to mention 2 different historical figures, that’s obvious if you have any brain whatsoever. If you cannot see the genius of family guy, then maybe you just aren’t smart enough to laugh. It’s not for you…
In case no one has figured it out yet, the joke was actually a reference to race of course, implying that luther’s ancestry was white (why he was anybody) and using the OBVIOUS luther name as a scapegoat joke. You people are seriously retarded.
I gave family guy a try, despite its apparent lack of style or taste. If you find the idea of a talking dog really funny, and you think it would get even funnier if the dog got addicted to cocaine (how wild!), the show is aimed at you. Personally, I feel more artistically enriched looking at porn, and more amused reading the phone directory. It’s amusing to watch Seth pose against Palin and Bush too – he reminds me of them.
I agree totally , I mean some of it is kinda funny but in all reality its not really something to buy just more watch once and be done , C’mon Seth you can do better =p
Ken Tucker is right: Seth MacFarlane isn’t funny or smart.
Sometimes grosse things are funny. Sometimes grosse things aren’t funny. Only 13 year old boys always think grosse=funny, and they’re most of everyone who likes MacFarlane’s shows.
Every once in a while Family Guy gets lucky, but mostly it just sucks – like everything this guy churns out.
And commenters above talking about how genius Family Guy is? You seriously need to broaden your horizons.
