Justin Timberlake is pure awesome. He was great on SNL. I love that he has his very own sketches when he’s on SNL. Very exclusive club in SNL!

Certainly one of the better post-election SNL’s of the season. JT is a fine host and the Mother’s Day video was a howler. Still…enough Timberlake! Look, I actually think he’s very talented, both as a musician and a comedian. He seems like a genuinely nice guy with a great self-effacing sense of humor, so there’s no hatin’ here. I just wish he’d go away for a little while. He hasn’t had a new album out in a couple of years, yet he’s still EVERYWHERE. Guesting on other people’s singles, 2 appearances on SNL in the past 6 months…enough. Dude, seriously, go home and count your money. Come back in a year, and we’ll be ready for you.

just gotta say, when Susan Sarandon popped up, i was like WHAAA? i still get surprised by the guests they manage to get for those shorts. and the song was really good. you know, aside from the twisted lyrics. and Zachary and Chris on Update was SUCH a surprise, i actually squealed like a little fangirl. :P and i got some more Barry Gibb Talk Show (with Jimmy!), which is a sketch i fell in love with when Justin hosted back in 03.
it was a great episode, i laughed all the way through, and i don’t think it’s ever getting erased from the dvr.

This over-hyped high-pitched/reed-voiced/braying “singer” should just disappear from the face of the earth along with beyonsh*t and sh*tney spears! bwahahaha!

Well, let’s just say last night was the first time I stayed up until 1am to watch SNL’s entire broadcast. When Justin Timberlake is on, you know it’s going to be good.

So funny! I loved every minute! I wish he’d join the cast! Best SNL since Will left! Speaking of that, can’t wait until next week.
Oh, and the line about Britney during the immigrant sketch was tops!

That was an awesome episode! Especially the immigrant skit. SO FUNNY!

He’s a good host. However, the writing was sub-par. They benefitted from a high-energy audience last night which made things seem funnier than they actually were. The Mother’s Day short was decent but nowhere near the level of “D*ck in a Box.” Would have been better if they’d tried something new rather than rehashing and tweaking a new bit.

personally, i love the skits when JT is in costume singing on the street. am beginning to think he requests those (“bring on down to plasticville!”). i was less than thrilled by the digital short, which apparently puts me in the minority. the first one was hilarious. don’t beat the joke to death with a sequel…you know? although i was amused that susan sarandon was making a cameo. i was also impressed that jimmy fallon got through an entire sketch without laughing. well done, fallon.
i’m over the target skit tho. mostly because i am over kristen wiig. i just don’t think she is funny. it could just be the material…or it could be her. i dunno.

Justin on SNL made me laugh out loud numerous times. Sadly, can’t remember the last time that happened. He is a funny guy in addition to really gifted musically. Hope he comes on more often.

That Mother’s Day song/skit was pretty funny but MAN it was a complete rip of the Flight of the Conchords’ style.

I actually changed the channel during the Fallon skit…I have enough of him on weeknights.

I resisted the lure of JT early on, writing him off as another pop singer whose star would soon fade. But he surprised me and is maturing into an all-around performer. I am impressed by his acting ability and love his sense of humor. And for me at least, he ranks as one of the best SNL hosts we’ve seen in a decade.
Loved the digital short and the immigrant sketch. Nice dig at Britney dude! Plasticville was also fun – wish he’d tossed in a Britney cover, though, now that would have been perfect.
I was ready to write SNL off, but this season has been outstanding. I hope they can keep it up.

Wow, I say this in all terms of honesty (not as a derogatory way)– if I didn’t think Justin was possibly bi-sexual, last night CONFIRMED it! And as a gay male, I never found him *that* desirable (not since his days on MMC)… until NOW! That opening monologue [poofer!], the Target sketch [major poofer!] and where he “jokes” (????) about doing stuff w/ guys [poofer-ish]! C’mon! lol
The dude’s *not* straight. Which is good for EVERYONE should he break up w/ Biel. *Everyone* has a shot w/ him! :-)

  • Mary

JT on SNL never disappoints! You’d think he could not match previous shows/skits, but he’s just such an amazing entertainer that he keeps setting the bar!
