I already miss cancelled Life: Damian Lewis and his quizzical expressions, his way of inflecting a line so that it became an inquiry into your state of mind rather than a mere statement. Playing a rich cop who’d been framed, sent to jail, and released, his Charlie Crews — and the entire series created by Rand Ravich — transcended the usual quirky-cop genre.
I wanted another season of Life to see more of Adam Arkin (underutilized this past season), and to be able to take back in print the criticisms I had of Donal Logue’s character. (His Tidwell got more interesting as the series went on.)
Most of all, I just wanted Crews to keep on driving around L.A., roughing up bad guys with the quiet power of a man who’s got nothing to lose. He may have called his attitude Zen; I called it hard-boiled romanticism at its best.
Will you miss Life?

I’ll miss Damien Lewis the most. I loved his quirks… and his red hair
(.
Life will always be amazing!!
I have to say…I’ll watch anything and I really liked this show at first but found myself bored and unable to watch this season. I’m sure we’ll be seeing Damian Lewis again, he’s too talented.
Will definitely miss Life (am a long-time fan of Brit Damien Lewis), but am so glad they were able to provide such a wonderful series finale. It really helps with having to say goodbye prematurely when you get this much closure. Am down to 2 NBC drama series: Friday’s Night Lights and Chuck. Am crossing my fingers for Chuck, but it’s not in-house. That doesn’t help.
I absolutely will miss “Life”. One of the best shows to come along in a long time. Yes a procedural show but fresh, funny, real. RIP “Life”. Hope it gets picked up by someone else!!
I am a tv snob with the best of the critics. Friday Night Lights–love it. Lost–completely addicted… Pushing Daisies–still mourning. If it’s creative and well-written and well-acted, I’m there. I won’t go on, but let’s just say that I am confident in my bona fides.
But I just don’t get the love for “Life.” I gave it a shot–twice. I was totally bored. I just don’t see what inspires the adoration for this show. So, nope–can’t say that I will miss “Life.” (But long live “FNL”!)

NBC is in deep deep trouble, and after seeing today’s Upfront, next year will get a whole lot worse.

I will miss Life. I found it entertaining and always enjoyable. I def feel like with all of the Law and Order on NBC they could have gotten rid of one of those and kept Life. I liked the quirkiness of Charlie, his relationship with Ted, and Carmen ( I can’t remember what his partners name is but she’ll always be Carmen from the L-Word to me) Ah I miss it just thinking about it.
I cannot believe there is no more Life! The season finale was what TV should be all about. Damien Lewis is incredible, but he is also surrounded by wonderful characters. I love the evolution of Tidwell’s captain, and I am disgusted that I will have no more Life, but there will always be Celebrity Apprentice and Gossip Girl. Seriously tv land? Seriously?!
I’ve had a crush on Damian Lewis since “Band of Brothers” and the British “Forsyte Saga” miniseries. He’s so talented and adorable. Will miss him!
I am so upset this show is canceled. It is such a great show and will be missed.
What a shame that the “Life” had a DNR. It has been awhile since we enjoyed a new show like we did Life. Damian Lewis was great and I hope he ends up on the big screen. Band of Brothers was a fantastic performance and it reminded me of Ioan Gruffud’s performance in the Hornblower Series.
I can’t believe that NBC chose Parks and Recreation over Life………
With better luck, this show might have been able to evolve into another Homicide–not a big ratings-grabber, but a solid performer. Its tone always reminded me some of Homicide. But the writers’ strike was the blow that killed it off. It never had a chance this season.
Hopefully both Damian Lewis and Sarah Shahi (who knew she could really act?) will move on to better things, and better networks.
