I tuned in to SOUTHLAND because of Ben Mckenzie. One of THE MOST AMAZING shows to air in a long time. Utterly brilliant. I missed Ben last Thursday but it was still fantastic. Every actor has one me over.

It is true. Southland is perhaps TV’s newest shining star. And with a new season this fall, it really just keeps getting better… Don’t miss it! An emmy nom. in the future???????

every single charecter is great except that one annoying cop. he needs to gtfo and then it would be a perfect ensemble.
Sal (the guy with the bratty daughter/affair with reporter) doesn’t really seem to have much of a connection with the other charecters.
All the detectives are great and I love the wife and the dog. They’re frickin insane :D and Janilla looks like she’ll be a great recurring charecter.
Suprisingly, I liked episode 4 better then the other ones. Ben Mckenzie and Michael Cuditz’s charecters are interesting but will grow tiring after a while.

I love this show! Regina King is fantastic. I love the detective and the wife with the dog. I really like Ben McKenzie and Michael Cuditz. Well written, well acted. Finally, something worth watching!

I don’t agree with the person that sais that King is a weak link. I don’t necessarily want all characters in a show to be morally ambiguous, and frankly it’s not reality. There really are people out there that are just decent, caring, and want to do a job good. Ms. King captures that sort of person perfectly. She’s the best part of this show and the reason I will continue to watch.
