I haven’t been the most faithful watcher of Chuck, but I have to say, last night’s episode reminded me why I’ve always had a soft spot in my hard heart for this show: its distinctive combination of wacky comedy (congratulations to Tony Hale for being a superb mean boss), guest stars like Scott Bakula as Chuck’s kidnapped dad, throwaway jokes like the new frozen yogurt flavor “Obama guava,” and the unique mixture of comedy and action scenes like this one:
But Chuck isn’t doing very well in the ratings, while its co-creator Josh Schwartz gets more media coverage for his other show, Gossip Girl.

Without a doubt, it’s one of the best shows on TV. And honestly, I don’t think there’s anything (short of losing Ben Silverman) that NBC can do to shake itself out of a 4th place at this point, so they might as well stick with quality over quantity. As much as I want to be Tina Fey, as long as Chuck’s around, 30 Rock is only the second best show the peacock has to offer, and I hope more people discover as much before it’s too late.
Sidenote to Ken Tucker: Obama Guava was not a drink flavor, it was a fro-yo flavor.
Chuck is DEFINITELY worth saving. It’s a clever, fun, unique show in a world where there are too many clones. The writing and acting are consistently excellent and if it leaves the air it will join the legion of shows I loved but were canceled before their time. SAVE CHUCK!
Chuck definitely should be saved! It’s the highlight of Monday TV for me. This quirky show is like no other on TV! NBC please renew Chuck!
Chuck is totally worth saving. In spite of the outlandish circumstances, the characters seem more accessible than those of other shows. Adam Baldwin constantly reminds me why I loved him in The Bodyguard…
I really enjoy Chuck. It is one of the few shows that I sadly look forward to. I wonder if the ratings are hurting because of what’s on other channels?!? I know I DVR Chuck and watch How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory.
If NBC needs to ax shows to make room for 5 hours of Leno, they need to keep their quality shows around (Earl, Office, Friday Night Lights, and Chuck).
I’d rather see Heroes get the ax…
TOTALLY worth saving!! There’s no other show like it.
I have not missed an episode since this show started and it just keeps getting better. Zachary Levi is showing more range and Adam Baldwin is getting funnier and funnier every episode. People really need to give this show a chance. No it isn’t as intense as 24 or Lost, but it is a fun way to kill an hour on Monday nights.
I love “Chuck”. I don’t understand why it doesn’t do better in the ratings because it is such a good show, but easily accessible too. I definitely think “Chuck” needs a third season!
Now that “Pushing Daisies” is gone, “Chuck” is one of only three shows that get my attention every week. It has a top-notch cast, and while it may not get stellar ratings it is a hell of a lot better than some network shows that get renewed year after year.
SAVE IT! Chuck is smart and funny, definitely not your typical 1-hr action-dramedy show. I think the writers are brilliant because there are so many subtle little throw-away lines that crack me up every week. Very good show.
It is up against House. Like it or hate it, it’s killing Chuck. I DVR chuck and watch House. Chuck just needs a new day or time. Put Chuck on against Heroes and it will probably pick up more viewers since Heroes has jumped the shark.
My Mondays are terrible until 8 PM, and then Chuck makes my bad mood go away instantly. This is the greatest show on television, and if it gets cancelled, it will be just like Veronica Mars, taken before its time. I love Chuck! While there are several shows I watch every week, I don’t look forward to any of them as much as Chuck. Even when it’s kind of sad, somehow it leaves me happy. It’s hilarious, the dialogue is snappy, and Chuck Levi is goofily adorable.
I rarely post but I wanted to say that I love the show Chuck and I so so hope they give it another season. Everyone on it is great, the writing is clever, it is funny and touching!
They have to renew Chuck or my husband might cry. Seriously, Chuck and the Office are the only shows we can agree on! Why aren’t people watching. Seriously people, are you REALLY watching Dancing with the Stars? REALLY?!?
