I will be 55 this summer and this takes me back to high school football games…I can still feel those feelings. I watched the very first episode of this show and remember being blown away. It’s sad when a show has characters that are on a time track…they can’t all stay in HS forever but I sure do want them to. Kyle Chandler is the best and I too can’t wait for next season. HOORAY for quality TV.

After my post I was reading all of the comments….the two that stuck out for me were…someone said the show was gorgeous and one said it is achingly good. It really is beautiful and I am so glad it has such a following. Joe McCoy is fast replacing J R Ewing as the most hated man in America!! Can’t wait for him to get his. Summer…please go fast.

I have loved this show and all the wonderfully acted characters since season 1, and even though there are a million storylines made possible with Coach’s move to East Dillon, I need to ask: how did this plot point come about? Eric had taken his team to states more than once, and it seemed he was well liked and respected. I know we were looking at “five months later,” but there was no buildup to this and it felt very sudden. Also, how would a small town like Dillon embrace Joe McCoy, when surely everyone knew he had recently beaten up his own son, a great quarterback in the making for said small town?? No matter now much money McCoy has, I don’t see this happening. And where is Buddy in all this? He didn’t stand up for Eric in the board meeting, so is he going to stick with Wade and Joe? Or is Joe going to be the new (albeit evil) Buddy, with Buddy having to accompany coach to E. Dillon? And finally, WHERE are the Emmys for these folks? Coach, Tami, Saracen & Tyra all deserve one.

This show is like listening to all my favorite old songs on my dock on the lake on a perfect summer day with a cold drink in my hand… thank you, DirectTV and NBC, for finally recognizing the beauty and power of this show. I will be using the summer months ahead to try and convert new fans… I wish everyone else knew what they were missing out on! Although perhaps I will direct them to this comment board, because these comments could sell water to a man who was drowning!!

This is the best show on TV. My husband and I watched the first 2 seasons religiously when we lived in NYC. We recently moved to Hong Kong (yep, the one in China) and FNL is the ONLY show we still watch, which we have to do on itunes. But every Saturday night we get the laptop out, turn out the lights and watch our favorite show. Cheers to NBC for bringing it back for 2 more years — now how about giving the show a little publicity so other people will get on board?!

This is the BEST show on television. I only hope Riggins and Lyla stay on the show; I love their story line. I can’t wait to see the next season and how Coach Taylor will build East Dillon’s football team. Wonderful show- I always laugh AND cry during each episode!

This is by far one of the best TV family drama. Couldn’t have had a better cast of actors, will surely miss many of them next season! I can’t believe that this show was about to be cancelled for not enough viewership, may be wasn’t marketed right..

I love this show. Too many great scenes to pick just one.
