I liked it.I always loved Amy on SNL and its good to see her doing something different-liked her character alot. She’s clueless but sympathetic. And for a first episode I thought it was a strong effort.
Its rough out there in TV land and I hope this one makes it.

Didn’t expect much going in but ended up LOVING IT! I love how Knope is an ambitious politico stuck in a small-town Park & Rec job. It’ll be a hit!

I laughed a few times. So I thought it was OK. Not good, not great. Let’s face it, NOT original.
The faux documentary style works for THE OFFICE…but why copy it here? It felt odd.
And this is really a show with no legs. How can you see this parks and recreation gimmick lasting for many seasons? You cant. You can spot a show without legs from so, so far away.

Greg Daniels is a hack who had to steal the idea of The Office from Ricky Gervais. This latest creation is just the embodiment that he can’t come up with anything on his own that is remotely watchable. Most of the jokes were bombs except for the cameo of Ian Roberts. It’s this crummy writing that sends viewers over to watch Horacio on CSI: Miami. Thanks Greg Daniels! Parks & Rec just boosted the ratings for CBS.

I think this show has the potential to become a really good, funny show but it will need to find its way. What I mean is that like many comedies it has to set its own tone, what kind of humor will work best? And the actors will have to get into sync, each character has to be filled out by the actors, and the show will become funnier. Right now it is very raw and will be that way for most of this first season, I think. It is a show that will need time to differentiate itself from the pack. Perhaps I’m being too generous here, but I think we need to be patient and see what happens when the show gets a better footing on what its comedy is really like. It’s no “Office”, but I don’t expect it to be that. I hope it works. I love Amy Pohler.

I wanted to hate it, but it wasn’t that bad. I still find Amy Poehler irritating though. Aziz was good and the boss was ok until the stupid “BOBBY KNIGHT!” tag at the end. At least it’s better than Kath & Kim, although that doesn’t say anything really.

It got to a point where ‘Parks’ was almost too similar to ‘The Office’ to the extent where it became a copycat version. Amy Poehler’s Leslie character is basically the female Michael Scott and the bonehead stunt with her falling into the pit to make a point reminded me of Michael’s drive into the river because the literal GPS instructions.

Agree with other posters that Amy Poehler is better than this poor man’s copy of The Office. I would much rather watch her brilliant Palin rap on repeat for half an hour than this show again.

PU I hated it…recycled trash..felt like I was watching the Office but I had just finished watching the Office. NBC, wake me up when you have an original concept again.

  • boom boom get get__Rob P. is HOT

Parks and Recreation is one of the worst if not THE WORST shows on TV.
I’d rather watch nothing than this droll boring difficult to follow “office” wanna-be clone
