Wow: Just caught up with last night’s season finale (series finale?) of Life: What a great episode written by creator Rand Ravich; what a great, satisfying almost-wrap-up of the show’s ongoing mystery; what great performances from star Damian Lewis as Charlie Crews and Garret Dillahunt as Crews’ nemesis. Oh, and what a great lesson in the power of a punch to the throat. (Don’t try that, kids.)
Given that NBC has fewer hour-long time slots in the fall when Jay Leno takes over the 10 p.m. hour, and the fact that Life hasn’t been a ratings smash, it’s a shame this series doesn’t have much of a chance for another season. But I sure would like to see where Crews’ life goes after last night, wouldn’t you?

DAMIEN LEWIS IS ONE OF THE BEST DAMN ACTORS ON TV. IT IS AMAZING HOW HE CAN CHANGE IN ONE MINUTE FROM AFFABLE AND A LITTLE STRANGE TO A VERY SCARY GUY. IT IS LIKE SOMEONE ELSE IS LOOKING OUT OF HIS EYES. YIKES! WHAT A GREAT FINALE. I BLAME NBC AND IT’S LAME LEAD INS FOR THE FACT NO ONE SEEMS TO BE WATCHING THIS.
Life is the only procedural drama I watch. It is unique and Damien is brilliant. If it’s lost, it’s just more proof that NBC doesn’t know how to build quality or ratings. Last night’s show was amazing!

Last night’s episode was phenomenal! One of the best season finales I’ve seen in a LONG time. I hope NBC doesn’t cancel it. It’s one of the best shows on.

With all the shows falling by the wayside, I’ll have more time in the fall.
It was fantastic! I hope they will bring it back next year. There are not many good shows on TV now a days. This one is one of the best. Hopefully it will stay around for a few more years. The cast is wonderful!

I do watch “Life” and only “Life” on Wednesday nights.
I adore this show, the characters, the writing, everything. It would be a SERIOUS let down if they let go of this show.
I watched the show from the first episode to the last. If this is the last, it will go out with some closure. I would love to see this pop up on a network like USA. It would fit in nicely with shows like Burn Notice. etc
I love LIFE!! Great writing for a ‘cop show’ very interesting characters, and very well acted. Too bad the smarter shows always get the axe. I’d rather watch Life than most other cop shows. It’s refreshingly different! Loved the finale, I HOPE there’s a season 3!! Oh and I have a mad crush on Dani. She’s gorgeous!
Life is one of the best written shows I’ve watched. This show does not insult my intelligence, in fact, it challenges me to pay attention to everything, the words, the background, the music and the subtle actions by the actors.All the actors,past and present gave strong performances.The show had all the emotions joy, sadness,rage, etc… If this show wasn’t against Lost, and had better promotion from NBC, it’s numbers would be better. I hope it gets renewed for next season, and it should considering what NBC has put forth lately. Tell your friends about the show,lend out your DVD to others.
PHENOMENAL show. Damien Lewis is fantastic and as others have said, it’s the only show I watch on NBC. Needless to say if it doesn’t come back, I see no reason to tune back into NBC especially with the odd decision to move Leno to 10pm.

Last night’s show was awesome! My family has never missed an episode. NBC is digging its own grave if they cancel shows like Life to have Leno on instead.
Life is one of the best hours of television I’ve had the pleasure of viewing for last few years. Shame it’s had bad timeslot after bad timeslot. So well written,acted and directed. Hoping it comes back and doesnt become another victim of the great chin from above.

Agree with all the “Love this show” comments, but no one has mentioned the look of it yet. There are some”still shot” moments on the show that are truly great visual art (lighting, colour etc.) And another great show being led by a Brit cast as an American (it’s freaky watching the Season 1 DVD with commentary and listening to Damian’s actual accent).
But isn’t that just more proof what a great actor he is!
Why not put Life on USA?
“Life” is too good of a show to cancel. I’m so tired of smart shows being cancelled and replaced by insipid “reality” crap. I crave more mature entertainment and I get it with “Life”. Please, please, please don’t rob me of one of the last vestiges of intelligent programming left in this cesspool we are force fed every day.
Love Damian Lewis, he’s British and you’d never know it with that US accent. He’s awesome!

The best episode of the season of one of the best shows on television. NBC would be making a huge, huge mistake if they cancelled such an amazing show.
Amazed at the number of my “regular” shows that are ending/might be ending that have bit the dust in the last year and a half. And yet, I’m always looking for a new one. Life was a good show. NBC has produced several good shows in the last couple of years, that just never generated ratings similar to their schlock. Everyone involved in Life should be proud of their work.
its my favorite show! NBC needs to give it another year….its not like they have anything better! They will never have another hit show again if they dont give any of their new ones time to build a following! Wasnt Seinfeld doing terrible in ratings until season 3 or 4?? What about Friends? Where any of these ratings smashes in the 1st two seasons?? think about it NBC!
