No matter what you think of Keith Olbermann’s political views, you have to admit his farewell last night to his mother, who died on Saturday, was a wonderful segment from a son to his mom:
I’m not a baseball fan, but watching this, I wish I’d caught a few games just to see Olbermann’s mom in the stands. All sympathy to you, Mr. Olbermann.

I hate Keith Olbermann but this was really touching.
Jerk made me cry.
That was a a wonderful goodbye.
That was beautiful.
I don’t watch Keith Oberman. Its not whether i like him or not, i just dont always watch MSNBC all that much. But this made me tear up and i think i really am about to cry. That was a touching goodbye and his little Good Night And Good Luck was probably the most touching
I thought it was touching. Beautifully done by Keith. I do adore Keith and agree with just about all he says. He’s the greatest, which means his Mom had to be great too.
What an amazing mom and an equally amazing tribute.
thanks for posting, very moving
That got me choked up. My condolences.
As a mom, you’d want nothing more than to be truly loved, and truly missed. Condolences to the family, and congratulations to Mom on a life well spent.

I love to watch Keith. The tribute to his mother was one of his finest segments. My sympathy to Keith and his family–I thought of my own late Mom as well as Keith’s Mom when he was speaking. The old pictures and films were especially moving–thanks Keith.
