Agreed Billy Z.
The problem with taking everyones debt is that you a) don’t actually get rid of any of it. It just passes it on to future generations. b) No know suffers any consequences for all their stupid spending an go on wasting money like before. The people of south park may of been over cutting on their spending in the beginning but with their debt gone and non of them having to actually pay for any of it they just go back to buying Margaritaville.

I have no idea if the creators indulge in marijuana or not, but I’m pretty sure if they were “sitting around smoking pot” there would be no show.
Effective satire is much harder than you make it sound. Notice how every commenter here saw something different in this single episode? To create something that layered is not simple.
No offense to Ken Tucker, but I think my review of the “Margaritaville” episode was a bit more nuanced and professional. Check it out here (www.johnsonvillepress.com on the left-hand side of the page). Besides, “Or the most withering dismantling of it,” isn’t even a real sentence. Come on guys, one of you copy-editors should have picked up on that one–it’s what you get paid for.
