    1. men are human beings and I can be pushed to the point of anger where they will lash out physically – this will always be the case. Saying “a man should never hit a woman under any circumstances” is true but all of us are human, so that statement should not be extended to say “a man should go to jail if he hits a woman no matter what she said or did to him” — Im hearing that sort of thing from a lot of people these days and its just not workable.
    2. Oprah has no real relationship experience, has never been beaten, and is not a marriage counselor – she should not speak with such surety about other people’s relationships – “If he hits you once, he’ll hit you again” Oh yeah, well my ex-wife hit me once and never did it again. (I never hit her by the way)

Chris was driving in a car. His hands were on the steering wheel and his feet were at the pedals. Rihanna beat him with a shoe using her hands and she kicked him using her feet. It is very shocking that no one was run over and that he did not smash the car into a tree or building. Chris was helpless while he was being viciously attacked by Rihanna. Why is she not in prison for assault and battery? If Chris did not fight back, he would have died from his injuries and they might both have been killed from a car accident. Rihanna is extremely dumb for abusing a man while he is driving. Why is Rihanna not in prison for abuse against a man? Young girls are tuning into this incident and they think it is ok to beat up men using shoes or weapons. In feminist countries, girls are forming gangs and becoming the schoolyard bullies because they have been taught by the feminists to hate ,hate and hate men. Why haven’t the feminists been charged with hate crimes against men?

Chris should have been taught by Mama not to hit women – oops I forgot his mama used to get beat down too, Sorry. Well that about sums it all up now doesn’t it.

No one will deny the fact that men and women ARE living in abusive relationships. No one will deny the fact that those relationships regardless of the person doing the abusing is toxic and dysfunctional. Typically it is a MALE attacking a female. However, there are some instances when the female is the aggressor. Both situations are unfortunate. Using the Rhianna/Chris Brown situation to illustrate that NO ONE has to be in an abusive relationship is paramount for teens to learn. There are so many relationships that people feel trapped and unworthy of more. They may NOT even know what a “good” relationship is. I don’t watch Oprah. I am a physician…domestic violence is a serious issue and people visit hospitals each day due to physical abuse at the hands of another. Oprah has a platform. She should use it. The Chris/Rhianna situation…well they are young people who HAPPEN to be famous and figuring out right and wrong in front of millions. Can people change…Yes…will they?

Oprah, Is Teachable a word? If you want to address an issue then don’t look to capatalize on someone with fame where they will charge for an interview. I bet she has either of the two on the show promoting their new book> Oprah is Old She should Retire

I found this article about the two of them on spunkybean.com. It’s Called: Rihanna and Chris, Who’s the real victim?: http://www.spunkybean.com/commentary/919-op-ed-rihanna-and-chris-brown-whos-the-real-victim

I agree with Lyn. They are not typical Domestic Violence victims. They do have the maens to get up and leave and still be able to live normally. However it takes wanting to do that and seeing that this is wrong both of which neither one of them wants to do. The difference is they re rich victims. Most domestic Violence victims leave a relationship poor and all there worldly belonging behind to get away from there abuser. No contact with friends etc. They are just in a different financial bracket. Its still mutual abuse.

its not fair to say that a man should never hit a woman… she should have said, neither a man or a woman should ever hit each other…if its self defense then it is ok….just because she is a female dosent mean she cant hurt him or kill him…if that was the case that she was trying to hurt him he should have protected himself …he just didnt have to go that far…(if she was trying to hurt him)because if u r driving its not much u can do to just restrain a person trying to hit u…he may have had to hit back

I think Oprah needs to mind her business! If they think they can work it out, that’s on the both of them to make that choice not HER’S!!! No one knows what really happen but them. I don’t condone viloence but leave it alone. He shouldn’t have to come on the Oprah show to make a public apology! That’s Bull S—–t!

Thank you Oprah for bringing more awareness to abuse by boyfriends, partners, spouses or others. No one deserves to be hit or abused by another person.

It would only be fair that Rihanna get charged to. I do not believe in that statement that the court have on file, i am not stupid- i also know exactly what went on there, and that’s the reason why rhianna is against testifying. she needs to take the stand and state exactly what she said to the police!!! then all the haters will understand chris brown side of the story. I wish CHRIS all the best of luck.
