I loved late night with conan, it was something i looked forward too. Right now, Jimmy is urinating all over a segment of television that used to be incredible. The fact that he is even still featured in anything amazes me. This guy shouldn’t even be in commercials. Bringing in Jimmy fallon to take over late night is like having a retarded kid in a wheel chair pinch hit for Derek Jeter.

I just have to say I hope he gets better. The show is almost painful to watch, and the audience reacts like they can’t wait to get out of there. He doesn’t seem to know how to interview his guests either. He talks to his guests like they’re at his house having a cocktail. It also isn’t much fun to watch two people play beerpong. I agree with Ashley, some writers should be fired.

Connan had charisma and was funny from the beginning. Jimmy Fallon doesn’t have it. He can’t tell a joke, he has no personality, he sucks. I hope they replace him soon.

I can’t believe how much negativity so many of you people have. You get up on NBC and host a talk show, then talk about how much of a loser he is. When Conan started, he had to renew his contract in 13 week increments. He also had a sidekick (Andy Richter) to help him until 2000. Give Jimmy a break, let him find his groove and fire some writers then things will probably get better.

Any schlep off the street can host a show at the pathetic, humor-less, energy-less level Fallon does. I say that with absolutely no disdain for the guy and I was really pulling for him. It really speaks to the incredible talent it takes to host a late nite show. I have a whole new respect for Conan and Letterman who have extraordinary wit, charisma and personality. Fallon has mild charm at best.

I may be one of the very few people that actually like him, but I just don’t think his first shows have been as bad as people say they were. A lot of people seem to hate him because they think he comes off as some cocky ego-driven guy. I don’t get that from watching him at all. He comes off as just an average guy hosting a show, which is a good thing I think. This means that I don’t expect perfection from him. Same goes with him laughing at his own jokes. Personally, I think it helps add more humour to the jokes. I can relate because I tend to
do the same thing when I’m joking with people. He just seemed nervous in the first few shows, but I think he
can only get better. With the right material, I think he’ll do fine.
