As a fan of the G4 network’s daily Attack of the Show!, I usually keep up with what’s going on on that crazy tech/web/comic-book/kooky enterprise. (Ah, “Pie Week”…) But a reader just sent me a link to AOTS co-host Olivia Munn’s guest appearance on Spike Feresten’s show this weekend, in which Munn proclaims she can “do” some of the Oscar-nominated movies “better.” Check it out (warning: implied violence to kitty cat mid-way through):
I’m still baffled by Feresten’s laid-back-to-the-point-of-comatose persona, but Olivia — via the Funnyordie.com folks — proves once again she’s a plucky gal with a nice nutty streak. And thanks, reader, for sending the link. See? I read the mail, even if 375-plus of you disagree with my Oscar review. It’s all part of the “dialogue,” right?

Saw the clip… when does the funny happen?
Ok wow! Ken Tucker you just managed to prove right those 375 pluse people who disagreed with you. You found THIS is funny and entertaining? But the Oscars you didn’t like? Seriously? Bizarre and out of touch. Ken Tucker you need a vacation. A very long vacation.
Apparently the folks at funnyordie wish death upon Olivia as this clearly isn’t funny at all.
Glad to hear from another fan of G4 and AOTS. Olivia Munn is pretty awesome, but this isn’t her best.

Olivia Munn truly has an affinity for success when placed in a live audience situation ..even when saddled up with the comatose styling’s of a Spike Feresten ,she still thrives on doing great work .. she is an imaginative skit artist ..with really perceptive comedic timing ..her knowledge of what she knows about her craft goes beyond …what jokes she lets us in on ….best of all …..her exotic beauty and sometimes caustic humor ….can never camouflage how sweet this young woman really is…

I love me some Spike Feresten, not a big fan of the Oliva factor. That said, you should give him another shot, the show is quite funny and he is much more responsive than the clip suggests.
Olivia = not funny. When I watched her on Spike’s show Saturday night I just rolled my eyes. If i was a teenager I might like her.
O.Munn is pretty funny, and if you ask me its a welcomed relief from Spike Feresten. I only really enjoyed his fake paparazzi skits.

Well, she is hot but not as hot as the blonde in the button spin. i found this funnier when Guillermo did it first on Jimmy Kimmel live. What I liked about Spike show, it was fresh with new ideas. This girl spins stuff that has already been hashed by people who are funnier. She should stick to liquor adds and playboy. She has a future in photo shots not hot in comedy.
