Jimmy Fallon was on Conan O’Brien last night and he was — well, even his future time-period competitor Craig Ferguson has asked us all not to judge Fallon prematurely. (Pssst: he wasn’t funny.) But the night before, Conan took one of the staples of late-night TV — the cooking segment — and with the raucous, frequently bleeped-out, obscene help of chef Gordon Ramsay and comic Norm MacDonald (Norm just doesn’t do enough television anymore, don’t you think?), the Crimson Comedian presided over a terrifically anarchic segment:
My favorite line of MacDonald’s: “Why would you become a cook?”

Norm is just naturally hilarious! Has anyone ever seen him do stand up though?? He’s coming to my area and wasnt too sure how his act was
That was just TOO funny .. the whole thing .. and I particularly loved Conan’s repeated insistence that they would never be able to air the segment. Thank you so much for putting up the video Ken!!!
Ken,
You need to launch a campaign to bring Norm back to television. He’s hilarious and TV needs him badly.
Hilarious. I love how Gordon is just bemused by Norm.
Long live Norm! I’m going to see him live this weekend & I can’t wait!
Fallon is improving now that his hands have stopped shaking. I really think with his band and the backing he gets from the network he will do well. Fallon was seemingly destined to be the next Adam Sandler but missed the boat I guess . If he sings once a week and lengthens his interviews a bit the ratings will come. Fergusons monologues are sidesplitting hilarious and he should slide into Dave’s job. Conan I think is the worst fit of all he is so not a West Coaster as Dave realized and stuck to his strengths.
