It’s Thursday, so that means the usual quandry: what do I watch in real time, what do I tape? Usually, I’d watch the comedy combo of The Office and 30 Rock, and DVR Supernatural and CSI to watch at least one of those at 10 pm. But Office and Rock are in reruns tonight. So I’m tempted to watch my new addiction, Supernatural, at 9, since it’s a new episode and Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are going undercover in their old high school to solve a case. Sounds like scares and laughs there.
CSI I’m monitoring especially closely to see how Laurence Fishburne is going to mesh with the forensics crew after William Petersen’s departure. (I liked Fishburne last week, but I’m already a bit tired of his mild-professor persona–I’d like to see him do what few CSI characters except maybe Nick have done: lose his temper, as a new guy who’s not yet as cool-cat-controlled as the other team members, and just pop a suspect in the jaw.)
Oh, yeah, and there’s–ugh!–Grey’s Anatomy. It’s a rerun, but I wouldn’t watch this anyway. In fact, I haven’t watched this weepy, corny drag of a show regularly since its first season.
And will anyone be watching the season premiere of Hell’s Kitchen? Gordo’s ranting are getting a bit stale for me–how ’bout you?
What do you watch at 9 p.m. on Thursdays? What do you tape for later watching?

Uh…The Office and 30 Rock. Is it even a question?
Just The Office for me! Which means I won’t be watching TV tonight…can’t wait for the after the Super Bowl episode of the show. I used to catch the back half of Grey’s Anatomy but I lost interest in that show after season 3.
Supernatural Thursday night, Grey’s sometime over the weekend, The Office online Friday morning.
The only show I watch at that time is CSI. I don’t watch anything live anymore though. I DVR everything except live sports, can’t stand commercials anymore.
None of the above. As luck would have it I have to be at a function tonight and since none of the shows I actually watch are new, I don’t have to worry about missing anything
I can’t get into Supernatural. I would never in a million years watch Hell’s Kitchen. I gave up CSI to watch the Office and 30 Rock and record GA. What else is there?
Everything but CSI is reruns, so bring on Ike Turner at 9, Tina Turner (on ER) at 10.
The Office!! And maybe the first 10 minutes of 30 Rock before we finally turn the TV off for the night.
CSI really? what big peace of inacurate crap
I’ll watch a rerun of House on USA and get ready for Burn Notice at 10.
Supernatural of course!! Is there anything else to watch at 9 pm?
We should be watching Pushing Daisies!
Since Office and 30 Rock are reruns, go for Supernatural. This episode looks like it’s going to be a really good one.
Supernatural of course!!
Now that “Bones” is on Thursdays at 8 that is the show I’ll be watching (even though I am angry at FOX for not airing it tonight)!!!
I still miss when “Friends” was on Thursdays though!
Supernatural. No question! I watch it live and DVR it so I can watch again. Tonight’s episode looks hilarious.
The Office/30 Rock, easily the two best network comedies. I agree with Kevin, there’s just no better choice. Only old ladies watch CSI, and I’m shocked that people still watch Grey’s, that show hasn’t just jumped the shark, it’s violated that poor animal. Hear good things about Supernatural though, so I’ll give the DVDs a look one day.
Since we’re in a later time zone (Mountain), but our primetime shows start at 6:00 pm (when my kids are still up) because they come from a Central Time Zone state. I DVR two rounds of shows so I can watch after they go to bed. My name is Earl/Office/30 Rock/ER and Ugly Betty/Supernatural.
I think Supernatural is the best show on television right now. They found a good mix of likeable (but not perfect) characters, humor, and horror. My husband even watches it and he hates Sci-fi.
It’s a shame they keep moving shows I watch (like Bones) to Thursday night because they often simply get cut from our schedule all together. I wish the networks would realize that we really would sit down to watch on other nights of the week.
I don’t watch any TV on Thursday nights. Nothing is on that I feel is worth my time. I used to watch Ugly Betty but never came back to it after the writers strike.
Normally I would watch Supernatural live, record The Office (and 30 Rock sometimes), and watch Grey’s Anatomy the next day online. Last week was crazy because FOX played a new Bones eppy during that time period as well. It’s just too much!
I’m really looking forward to this episode of Supernatural though. I’ve been hearing about it since the beginning of the season.
First of all, I don’t get the rationale behind Fox moving Bones to Thursday@8.00. The best they can home for is 2nd place once Survivor returns … but to move it there and then sit it out one week later? Where’s the sense, people?! Bones is hands-down the highest quality show Fox has got going for it (sorry 24!) … and they treat it like a black sheep meth addict child that no one wants to talk about.
)
Anyhoo … I’m wavering for tonight … I’ve gotten SO fed up with Grey’s lately (although, thank you Eric Stoltz for rocking the last couple of weeks!) that I might just break up with it altogether and stick with Hell’s.
At least ER’s a rerun tonight so I can a/ go to bed early or b/ get in an hour of Wii!
I watch Supernatural live and usually DVR Grey’s. Don’t have to do that tonight though since Grey’s is a repeat!
i DVR supernatural (because the CW takes SO DAMN LONG to get them up online) and the office and 30 rock (because I watch them over and over again) and then watch Grey’s online. Last week when Bones entered the timeslot as well – good lord. that was a crisis.
I usually DVR both the Office & 30 Rock, and Grey’s Anatomy then watch them all later when I can fast forward the commercials. Since they aren’t new I’m watching Hell’s Kitchen though…also later after DVRing it. I never watch live TV anymore.
Always Grey’s. Look forward to it all week, wouldn’t miss it for anything. Watch Rock later online since that show is easily the funniest thing on tv. Will probably watch Rock tonight since I’ve seen the Grey’s repeat many times already.
I always always always watch Supernatural at 9pm! I have loved this show since the pilot episode and have remained faithful to it even since it moved from Tuesday to Thursday nights
I do record both Grey’s and CSI and watch those later. But for me…it’s always gonna be Supernatural first!
I record Greys, even though I don’t watch anything else Thursday nights (Mondays are killer for me though). That way, i can fast forward through the annoying commercials.
I always watch The Office and 30 Rock live, and I used to record CSI but I can’t be bothered anymore. I never watched Supernatural and don’t want to. So it’s reruns for me tonight – I can’t watch an ep of The Office or 30 Rock too many times.
The only thing I watch Thursday nights is Burn Notice on USA. I won’t miss it. Everything else sucks. I refuse to watch CBS anymore since they cancelled Moonlight.
Only watch Supernatural, then d/l it illegally the next day and watch it again (without commercials). Oops, I meant legally.
I usually watch The Office and 30 Rock and I’m bummed that they’re in reruns tonight. I used to have the same dilemma between them and Grey’s but it’s gotten so horrible that I haven’t watched it since the three-parter where they tried to make us think Meredith was going to die. Ha! The Office used to be my favorite comedy but it’s kind of sinking lately too, and 30 Rock is so consistently funny and quirky that it’s hard to resist even a rerun of it. I am really intrigued by the one-hour Super Bowl episode of The Office though! Hopefully they pull out something really hilarious for us… Season 5 has been sort of a letdown so far compared to seasons 3 and 4.
